The fritters, also called frappe, have always been one of the typical sweets of the tradition of Carnival. Here we suggest a lighter alternative compared to the classical one, to prepare in the oven, perfect for the delicate palate of your child.

HOW TO PREPARE IT

Take 300 grams of sifted organic flour and pour it in a pile. With your fingers form a hole in the center and pour in the 2 eggs, sugar, melted butter, a pinch of salt and half a packet of yeast. Work the dough with your hands until you get a soft and smooth compound, then let it rest covered for 30 minutes. Once the dough has rested, roll it with the help of a rolling pin until it is quite thin. With a cutting wheel cut the pastry into rectangular strips, or, if you prefer, let also your child do it, under your supervision, he’ll have fun creating strange shapes. Arrange the fritters on a baking sheet and bake them at 210 degrees for 10-12 minutes, until they get lightly golden on the surface. As soon as they are cooked, let them cool and afterwrds sprinkle with a little sugar. For a tastier snack you can accompany the Carnival Fritters with one of the Baby Kiss Organic Purees. Note: the doses of this recipe are approximate and may vary according to the age and appetite of your baby. Ask the opinion of the pediatrician to choose the best dose.
